Prison Ministry
The Prison Ministry of Kentucky Mountain Mission seeks to share the hope of the Gospel with men and women who are incarcerated in Three Forks Regional jail and a local prison. Pastor Mark Coburn is the volunteer chaplain at the Three Forks Regional Jail.
Many individuals in prison carry deep hurt, regret, and brokenness. Through Bible study, encouragement, and personal connection, this ministry points them to the transforming grace of Jesus Christ and the hope that can only be found in Him. We offer church services to all inmates each week. Pastor Mark has access to visit individual inmates as needed and is on call to counsel inmates in case of emergency situations.
We bring several inmates to receive dental work at our dental clinics and a work team of inmates come and help set up and tear down the clinic. At Christmas through our volunteers we were able to purchase 350 pairs of socks for the inmates. Also at Valentine’s Day, Ida May Bible Church provided over 300 bags of cookies and Gospel tracts that we distributed at the jail. We have done this as a church ministry for several years.
If you would like to volunteer or have questions, call Mark Coburn at the camp office.
